Corrections, disputes and removals for your listing

Connecticut Roofing Guide is a free directory of roofing contractors in Connecticut, built on publicly available business information and scores calculated from public Google reviews. Every business is scored the same way using one fixed rubric. Being listed costs nothing, and payment cannot change your score or ranking. This page explains how to correct factual details, dispute a score you believe is wrong, or request removal from the directory. The full rubric is published under our rubric.

Correcting factual information

Your listing includes factual fields like your business name, address, phone number, website, opening hours, and services offered. If any of these are wrong, you can request a correction by providing the correct information and proof of it. Acceptable proof includes your website, your Google Business Profile, or another source we can verify independently. Once a correction is applied, it will persist when we refresh the directory data in future updates.

Disputing your score

Your score comes directly from Google reviews run through our fixed rubric. A score is never manually adjusted. If you believe your score is wrong, the issue is almost always in the data itself: we may have matched your listing to the wrong business, attributed reviews that belong to a different company, or misread what reviewers actually wrote. A dispute is a claim about the data, not a request for a higher number. When you dispute, we re-check the source data and regenerate your listing based on what we find.

Requesting removal

We remove listings for three reasons: the business has permanently closed, the listing is a duplicate of another, or the business is outside the scope of this directory. During our monthly verification cycle, we automatically catch and remove businesses that have closed. If your business is still operating and is in scope, an accurate listing will not be removed, and we will give you the reason in plain terms.

How fast we respond

Every request gets an acknowledgment within 5 business days. Confirmed removals are processed within 7 days. If we decline your request, we explain why.
