Best roofing contractors in Stamford

★★★★★5 (142 reviews)score 93/100

Santos Martinez runs the highest-scoring crew on this list, built on daily photo updates, spotless job sites, and permits pulled and inspected without homeowners having to chase paperwork. Slate, metal, asphalt, copper flashing and skylight work all show up in the review history with no reported leaks after repair, which is rare at this volume.

• Same-day or next-day response to leaks
• Daily photo and drone updates during the job
• Handles permitting and post-job inspections directly
• Catches secondary problems before they turn into bigger repairs

Services: roof repair, metal roofing, gutter services, flat roofing commercial

★★★★★5 (101 reviews)score 91/100

Bill Tyson and Jeison get named repeatedly for checking attics as well as roof surfaces before quoting, then walking homeowners through insurance claims honestly instead of pushing a bigger job. Turnaround runs to just a few days on replacements, with slate maintenance and leaf guard installs among the specialty work reviewers call out.

• Inspects attics, not just the roof surface, before diagnosing
• Straightforward insurance claim guidance
• Detailed estimates with photos
• Fast turnaround, typically days not weeks

Services: roof repair, roof inspection insurance, gutter services, flat roofing commercial

★★★★★5 (87 reviews)score 91/100

Danny's inspections get singled out for catching real storm damage while talking homeowners out of replacements they don't actually need, which builds the kind of trust that shows up across all 87 reviews. The crew pulls permits, replaces decking when it's actually rotted, and works with Owens Corning materials statewide.

• Owner-led inspections that avoid unnecessary replacements
• Insurance claim support without pressure
• Permits pulled and decking replaced when needed
• Owners work jobs personally rather than just managing

Services: roof repair, roof inspection insurance, gutter services, roof replacement installation

★★★★★4.9 (123 reviews)score 88/100

Evelyn and Alex's crews get full roof replacements done in a day to a day and a half, with photo-documented assessments and a follow-up call afterward to confirm everything held up. Pricing and cleanup draw consistent praise across 123 reviews, though the sentiment score sits a bit lower than the names above it.

• One-day to 1.5-day turnaround on full replacements
• Photo-documented assessments before work starts
• Follow-up calls after completion
• Competitive, clearly explained pricing

Watch out: A couple of reviewers reported a misdiagnosed roof condition or slower follow-up after the initial estimate.

★★★★★5 (42 reviews)score 87/100

Arsim's team handles roofing alongside decking, siding and exterior wall repairs, and reviewers say jobs finish on the timeline and budget quoted. With 18-plus years in business and same-day quotes, this is a solid pick for bundling roof work with other exterior projects, though the review base (42) runs smaller than the leaders above.

• 18+ years in business
• Same-day quotes and quick scheduling
• Permit and design guidance included
• Clean job sites with debris removal

Services: roof repair, gutter services, roof replacement installation, 24 7 emergency roofing

★★★★★5 (33 reviews)score 86/100

Anthony shows up for ice dams and active leaks the same day or within hours, including weekends and freezing weather, and reviewers consistently say he won't upsell a repair into a full replacement. The 33-review sample is smaller than the top of this list, but the sentiment is just as strong.

• Owner responds fast, often same-day
• No pressure toward unnecessary work
• Hands-on from estimate through completion
• Experience with solar-roof prep and flat roofing

Services: roof repair, roof replacement installation, flat roofing commercial, roof inspection insurance

★★★★★5 (31 reviews)score 86/100

Marcelo and Pablo's crew turns up in reviews mostly for full remodel work, with roofing folded into broader projects rather than being the sole focus. All 20 reviews on record are five stars, and Eva in the office gets specific credit for insurance paperwork and scheduling, though the sample size is on the smaller side.

• On-time, on-budget completion
• Insurance claim coordination support
• Named crew (Marcelo, Pablo) with consistent results
• Detailed tile and finish work

Services: roof repair, metal roofing, gutter services, roof replacement installation

★★★★★4.9 (52 reviews)score 84/100

Steve and his crew are primarily painters, but their roof-adjacent work, rotted wood replacement, power washing, flashing touch-ups, comes with the same two-year warranty and daily cleanup that earns them 19 five-star reviews. Worth a look if you want painting, carpentry and roof upkeep handled by one crew instead of juggling separate contractors.

• Two-year paint and repair warranty
• Rotted wood replaced without upselling
• Daily cleanup on every job
• Owner (Steve Totilo) stays involved and responsive

Watch out: This is a painting-led business, so roofing is usually part of a bigger exterior job rather than the main scope.

★★★★★4.8 (83 reviews)score 84/100

Running since 1951, Signature Exteriors coordinates roofing with siding and other trades on bigger projects, and reviewers credit Bob Brown and Bob Mateusiak by name for organized crews and daily cleanup. One serious incident involving unauthorized access to a neighbor's property and fence damage during a siding job keeps the sentiment score below the leaders on this list.

• Family-run since 1951
• Daily cleanup and site protection
• Coordinates with other trades on multi-trade jobs
• Named site managers praised for reliability

Watch out: One reviewer reported a crew trespassing onto a neighboring property and damaging a fence during a siding job.

★★★★★4.8 (641 reviews)score 82/100

With 641 reviews, Gunner Roofing has by far the biggest track record on this list, and project managers like Zach, Joe and Jesse earn real loyalty for punctual, clean installs. But the sentiment score is the lowest here: several customers describe unresponsive management after the job wraps, installation mistakes needing rework, and leaks surfacing months later, so this is a trade-off between scale and follow-through.

• Largest review base on this list (641 reviews)
• Named project managers earn repeat trust
• Efficient, on-time installs
• Willing to fix issues flagged during the job itself

Watch out: Multiple reviewers reported poor communication after completion, plus leaks or installation errors surfacing weeks to months later. Get scope and warranty terms in writing before signing.

★★★★★5 (13 reviews)score 81/100

Kevin's team covers roofing alongside windows, doors, siding and gutters, and all 13 reviews on record award five stars for punctuality and attention to detail. It's a smaller sample than most names above, but 20-plus years in business and full licensing back up the consistency.

• Fully licensed and insured
• 20+ years in business
• Covers roof, siding, gutters and windows in one scope
• Clean job sites and transparent communication

★★★★★5 (12 reviews)score 81/100

Dillon does the roofing work himself rather than subcontracting it out, and reviewers point to same-day quotes, 24-hour emergency availability, and pricing that beats competitors without cutting corners. Only 12 reviews are on record so far, but every one is five stars, and the detail in them, down to sweeping nails off the driveway after hours, says a lot.

• Owner does the work directly, not outsourced
• Same-day quotes, 24-hour emergency response
• Pricing that consistently beats competitors
• Financing available

★★★★★4.8 (25 reviews)score 80/100

Patricio and Fernando get named specifically for their handling of cedar and slate, and reviewers consistently say the crew finds the actual source of a leak rather than patching over it. An older review flagged a misdiagnosed chimney issue and an inflated cost estimate, but recent feedback points to steady, honest pricing.

• Diagnoses root causes instead of temporary patches
• Named techs with specialty-material experience
• Finishes ahead of schedule with thorough cleanup
• Straightforward pricing, no upselling

Watch out: One older review mentioned a misdiagnosed chimney problem and an inflated quote; recent reviews don't show a repeat of this.

★★★★★5 (8 reviews)score 79/100

Arsim gets called out repeatedly for diagnosing leaks accurately and scoping only the work that's actually needed, on both commercial flat roofs and residential jobs with three-day turnarounds reported. The review count is small at 8, so treat this as a promising newer name rather than a proven high-volume track record.

• Named technician (Arsim) known for accurate diagnosis
• Avoids scoping unnecessary work

Services: roof repair, gutter services, flat roofing commercial, roof inspection insurance

★★★★★5 (15 reviews)score 78/100

Chris and his crew handle architectural and flat sections on the same roof, walk homeowners through insurance paperwork step by step, and follow up with drone inspections after heavy rain. All 15 reviews are five stars, though that's a small sample compared to the names at the top of this list.

• Comfortable working mixed-pitch (architectural + flat) roofs
• Step-by-step insurance claim support
• Post-project drone inspections
• On-time or early completion reported
