Long-standing Fairfield County roofing and siding contractor with 20 five-star reviews. Repeat clients and professional builders value their fair pricing, clean job sites, prompt timelines, and organized office staff. Multiple reviewers note they trust O.C. for both residential and new-construction projects, with one reviewer saying they would use no one else.
Speed and cleanliness define Preference Construction's reputation. Crews typically finish roof replacements in a single day, leaving yards and driveways spotless. The owner and crew show up early, address structural issues on the fly, and leave no debris behind. However, scheduling responsiveness varies: one customer waited hours with no confirmation after an initial same-day inspection was promised, and another dispute from 2017 involved warranty denial and the owner's refusal to address alleged roofing defects without full replacement cost. The business handles shingles, gutters, gutter guards, and damage repairs across several services. Staff like Stevenson and Steven receive consistent praise for professionalism, though recent communication lapses on intake and past warranty conflicts warrant caution if fast scheduling or post-installation problem-solving is critical to you.
Reviewers consistently describe on-time completion and professional crews handling multiple renovation services with care. Projects from roofing to kitchen work stayed within budget, and Kelvin's team cleans up thoroughly and communicates well through each phase.
Most jobs finish on time with neat work and fair pricing, often led by Iris who stays in touch throughout projects. However, some customers report paint peeling or bubbling within months, with slow response when calling back for fixes, and a few cite unclear estimates that don't account for materials, waste, or prep work. Painting and deck work dominate the positive reviews. The two one-star complaints both mention miscommunication or scope issues. Roofing and metal roofing reviews are absent from the sample, limiting visibility into those services.
All five reviews rate the company at five stars. Across garage work, deck construction, and various renovations, customers consistently praise the team for solid craftsmanship, clear communication, and sticking to quoted costs. No complaints were reported.
Blake and his crew deliver roof and siding work with consistent attention to quality and detail. Owner Brian inspects attics before quoting to eliminate hidden costs, Blake follows up on-site multiple times, crews stay organized, and jobs finish on schedule. Fair pricing, no pressure for unnecessary upgrades, and rapid response to emergencies set them apart.

J&W Roofing LLC operates in the Bridgeport area with mixed results across three Google reviews. The 3.7-star average masks a split: two-thirds five-star, one-third one or two-star ratings. Without detailed review text, the specifics of what drives satisfaction or dissatisfaction remain unclear.
Henry and his crew deliver consistent, thorough work across roofing, maintenance, and cleaning. Repeat customers cite high-quality materials and craftsmanship.
Patrick and his team consistently respond fast to calls and deliver clean work at honest prices. Reviewers praise punctuality, photo documentation during jobs, thorough gutter cleaning and inspection, roof repair quality, and siding installation-plus a knack for handling storm damage and clogged gutters under tight timelines.
Two strong recent reviews praise the team's skill and coordination on townhouse and complex work. One older review raises doubt about pricing, though detail is limited.
Installation crews are professional and thorough, cleaning up carefully and handling complex projects. Reviewers value the non-pushy approach and patient explanations. The most recent review, however, noted a communication failure: 2.5 weeks of silence after a utility rejection and months to resolve an incentive payment issue.
